    You should check out MaxImage 2.0. It uses the genius of jQuery Cycle plugin (http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/) for the slideshow functionality so almost all of the Cycle options work but scales the background to be fullscreen. It has been optimized for newer browsers but also works back to IE7. Now you can even have more than just images in your slides… you can slide content too (i.e. html text, images, youtube videos).

      Thanks Aaron I have looked into the link and it looks cool. Even though the slide effect was not as smooth as it should be, but its amazing. Surely give it a try.
